A few weeks ago we talked about the transman’s voice. This is just a brief followup on that topic, as a new study has recently been published comparing the voices of transmen after long-term HRT to cismen of comparable age. the result?
After long-term androgen therapy FMT generally demonstrate an acceptable male voice. Pitch lowering difficulties can be expected in about 10% of cases and appear, at least in part, to be associated with diminished androgen sensitivity.
This is certainly good news for 90% of the men out there. Alright, ladies, everyone glare at the men jealously for a minute … (¬_¬)
